Ansty U11s v. Burgess Hill 6 June 2004
Match Report
On a fine Sunday morning, Ansty Under 11s faced
Burgess Hill in a 20 overs each Barrington rules league match.
Ansty batted first with four of their batsmen
achieving double figures. The highest scorers were Jonathan
Crickmore and Alex Borley, both with 20 not out followed by William
Sayer and Michael Burke who scored 12 and 10 not out. Ansty
lost only 2 wickets and finished with a net 331 runs.
Burgess Hill were however pegged back by excellent
Ansty bowling (no Burgess Hill batsman achieved double figures) and
lost a total of 9 wickets for a net 203 runs
Ansty's phenomenal bowling figures included
Michael Burke with a double wicket maiden and 3 for 1, William Sayer
with 2 for 0 (in a double wicket maiden), Jonathan Crickmore 2 for
11, James Pearce 1 for 3 and William Bennett 6 for 1.
A catch went to Jonathan Crickmore.
Ansty therefore deservedly won by 128 runs.
