In this 10 a-side friendly held at Whiteman's
Green on what started off as a bright and sunny morning, Zameer
Mohamed won the toss for Ansty and elected to bat. The home side put
on 266 runs net for 6 wickets. Isaac Hodgkin and Zameer Mohamed score
a four apiece in their scores of 6 runs and 5 runs respectively, and
Jack Watson top scored with an impressive 18 runs which included two
boundaries and a six. In reply, Roffey put on 268 runs net for 4
wickets from 15 overs of their allotted 20 overs before the heavens
opened and stopped play for the day. Technically, the result was
therefore a draw. |
