Saturday 17th July ANSTY v ST MATTHIAS (U9, SCB League played at St Matthias) On Saturday, Ansty U9s took a trip to St Matthias for an SCB League game  Ansty won the toss and elected to field. Once again fine bowling and fielding restricted the host team to 222 net for the loss of 6 wickets.  Wickets were shared between Joe Carey (2), James Rennie and Josh Turner who both took a wicket apiece. There were also 2 superb run outs engineered by Matt Davey.  In reply, Ansty batted with confidence from the start, the only problem they seemed to have was with the intermittent rain breaks. However, after all the delays, Ansty emerged as winners with Tom Hadfield (14) top scoring and good contributions from Will Temple-Smith (13) and Matt Davey (10) resulting in a net total of 309 for the loss of 1 wicket.  It was yet another excellent performance by the U9s in their first year of competitive cricket.
